FUTURE PROOF MARKETER

Affiliate Policy

How we make money.

Last updated: 5 September 2026

The short version: some links on this site pay us a commission when you buy, we sell two books, and one day we'll sell a course. Nobody pays for a review, a placement, or a verdict. Here's exactly how that works.

Links that point to a tool through our own short link (futureproofmarketer.com/go/…) may be affiliate links. If you click one and later buy or subscribe, the company pays us a percentage of what you paid. Your price is the same; the commission comes out of their margin, not your wallet. Occasionally an affiliate link carries a discount that a plain link doesn't.

We currently earn from programmes run by, among others, HeyGen, Synthesia, ElevenLabs, Kit, GetResponse, Funnelytics, Metricool, AdCreative.ai and Mixo. That list changes as programmes open and close, and many tools we recommend have no programme at all, so a /go/ link is not proof that we get paid. Every review and comparison that contains affiliate links says so at the top of the page.

What that money does, and doesn't, do

Commissions fund the testing budget. We buy every tool we review on our own card, run real work through it for weeks, and publish what it cost, what it produced and what broke. The money pays for those subscriptions.

It never decides the verdict. The rules we hold ourselves to:

  • We buy the tools we review. No free "reviewer" accounts, no sponsored access.
  • No paid reviews and no sponsored posts. If that ever changes, the post will say "sponsored" in the title, not in a footnote.
  • Negative verdicts stay up, commission or not. Several of our reviews recommend against a tool that would pay us if you bought it, and the review says so.
  • Rankings come from the scoring, not the payout. A tool with no affiliate programme can, and does, rank above one with a generous one.
  • Prices are checked and dated. When a price on our page is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
  • Nobody edits a review before it's published except us.

Products we sell

We publish e-books, currently The One-Person Marketing Team and The One-Person Studio, and we're building a course. Those are our own products, sold at the price on the page, with the refund promise in our terms. Reviews sometimes link to them where they're relevant; they're never the reason a review exists.

The newsletter

The newsletter is free. It's where new reviews go first, and now and then it mentions our own products or an affiliate deal that's worth knowing about. Either kind of mention is labelled for what it is.

General disclaimer

Everything on this site is published in good faith for general information. We work hard on accuracy, but tools change weekly, features appear and vanish, and prices move. We make no promise that any page is complete or current, and anything you do based on what you read here is your own decision and your own risk. Our disclaimer covers the financial side in full.

Links take you to other companies' sites. We link only to tools we'd stand behind on the day we wrote about them, but we don't control those sites, their content, or their terms, and a link is not an endorsement of everything you find there. Check their privacy policy and terms before you hand over anything.

Questions

If a disclosure looks wrong or missing, or a tool's price has moved since we checked, e-mail hi@futureproofmarketer.com. We'd rather hear it from you than from a reader who felt misled.
